Household gas detectors type DK-nn are used for continuous monitoring of combustible gases, carbon monoxide or freon gases in residential and ancillary rooms, endangered by their leakage.

Detection of dangerous gas concentration is signalled by activation of optical and acoustic alarm signalling and appropriate alarm control outputs activation. The detectors are equipped with a replaceable sensor module, which guarantees simple and cheap operation.

Area of application
  • oil or gas-fired boiler plants (with boilers without flue gas flow sensor);
  • kitchens and bathrooms equipped with gas appliances e.g. cookers, ovens, water heaters (with open combustion chamber);
  • rooms containing gas appliances such as: valves, gas meters, cylinders, tanks, gas pipes (basements, corridors);
  • rooms with a fireplace, or coal or wood-burning stoves;
  • rooms heated by portable propane-butane stoves;
  • domestic garages;
  • solid fuel-fired boiler rooms;
  • school laboratories;
  • rooms with air conditioning or refrigeration equipment (freon leaks).
Features
  • microprocessor-controlled;
  • external siren control;
  • can work with many devices;
  • the detectors are covered by a 3-year warranty;
  • all detectors are calibrated in our own GAZEX Calibration Laboratory operating in accordance with PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation no. AP150).

The location of the DK-2.N in a room with a risk of gas leakage is CRITICAL to the correct operation of the detector. In most cases, the optimal location for the detector is (for carbon monoxide and NATURAL (municipal) gas):

- on the wall, at a height of at least 30 cm from the ceiling

- ALWAYS above the top edge of doors or windows!

- as close as possible to a potential gas source, no further than 8 m from it (along the ceiling),

- away from ventilation openings, windows, doors,

- in a place NOT separated from a potential gas source by a partition above 30 cm (beam, caisson),

- in a place that is NOT obstructed by furniture or curtains (or other objects that restrict the air flow to the detector),

- NOT above a sink or radiator and away from kitchen fumes (>1m vertically from stove, oven or microwave!),

- where there is no danger of direct exposure to sunlight, outdoor air, water vapor, shower water, combustion gases from stoves, dust and ash, away from sources of strong electromagnetic fields.

For carbon monoxide and propane-butane from a cylinder:

♦ - on the wall, at a height NOT HIGHER THAN 30 cm above the floor,

♦ - as CLOSE as possible to a potential gas source, no further than 4 m from it (on the floor),

♦ - away from doors, windows, vents, NOT above floor recesses,

♦ - in a place that is NOT blocked by furniture or curtains,

♦ - in a place NOT separated from a potential gas source by steps, thresholds, channels in the floor,

♦ - where there is no danger of direct exposure to sunlight, outside air, splashing water (NOT under the sink) or mechanical shock, away from sources of strong electromagnetic fields.
